Our Departments

The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass has many departments that handle various aspects of the physician care process at our center. Each of these areas is responsible for specific duties related to patient care, patient processing and paperwork, or surgical procedures. Below you will find a brief overview of each department. Behavioral Medicine

Our Behavioral Medicine Department offers an interdisciplinary approach to pain management. We believe in treating both the body and the mind.

Imaging and Diagnostic Testing

We have a selection of advanced imaging and diagnostic testing equipment at our Center that helps us in our evaluation and treatment of patients. These range from CT scanner to X-rays to EKG machines.

Medical Records

Our Medical Records Department organizes and stores all the patient information for our Center. It also processes record requests.

Patient Referral and Evaluation (PREU)

This department handles all patient referrals and related paperwork. It’s also the department that handles urgent care requests from medical personnel.

Billing

Our Billing Department handles and processes all payments, as well as authorization requests. It also deals with collections.

Registration/Scheduling

New patients will need to complete registration through our PREU department office staff. Patients can schedule their appointments through this department.

Physical Therapy

The Physical Therapy area of our practice works with patients to enable them to move better and lessen their pain. Our Physical Therapist helps patients strengthen their bodies through a variety of different easy exercises that, once learned, can be done in the comfort of your home.

Surgical Implants

This department’s sole purpose is to assist patients with surgically implanted devices for pain management purposes.

Human Resources

The Human Resources Department at our Center takes care of all employee paperwork. It’s also the place to contact for job applications and related information.
