The Pain Treatment Center of the Bluegrass is comprised of a collection of multi-specialty medical professionals, who are dedicated to reducing and managing pain. Located in the Lexington and Somerset areas, we have a dedicated staff of established, experienced physicians and support staff who work together seamlessly to provide excellent patient care. This integrated approach allows us to take advantage of the many different medical specialties and modalities treating pain management and provide our patients with a comprehensive approach to treating pain of all kinds.
A multidisciplinary approach
The physicians and staff of the Ballard Wright, MD, PSC provide an aggressive, cost-effective, multidisciplinary approach to reduce pain, restore function, and improve the quality of life for our patients.
We employ a variety of medical professionals, including:
- Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Practitioners
- Addiction Medicine Practitioners
- Internal Medicine Practioners
- Family Medicine Practitioners
- Physical Therapists
- Behavioral Medicine Practitioners, to include: psychiatric nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs)
- Nurse Practitioners (ARNPs)
- Physician Assistants (PA-Cs)
Ballard Wright, MD, PSC is an approximately 15,000-square foot-office building composed of 30 examination rooms for new patient evaluations and consultations, office visits, minor procedures, and psychological assessments. It also houses our diagnostic/imaging department (CT scanner, X-Ray and Dexa machine) and our in-house lab (Immunoassay and Mass Spec Machine).
Our practice also has a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation division, conveniently located in an adjacent building, with a Physical Therapy department, where patients work with our Physical Therapist to learn how to better move and exercise their body to alleviate their pain. And, just down the street, our Center has a Behavioral Medicine Department, which employs a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and two Licensed Clinical Socials Workers (LCSWs), who work with patients to deal with the psychological aspects of their pain.
All parking is free and conveniently located adjacent to each building, housing our different departments/divisions of the physician practice.
